Frequently Asked Questions

How is the class coached?
No. Your class is coached situation by situation. You will start with a room tour, learn our basic safety rules, and try skill-based activities under close personal guidance. Skill-based resistance activities begin at the right pace from day one.
What should I wear?
Adults: normal clothes. No workout is required. Youth and teens: clean athletic clothes for the coached class. Follow the Gi/No-Gi instructions Sandy confirms for the first class.
Do I need to be fit?
No. Jiu-Jitsu is how you get in shape. You can take breaks whenever you need them, and you will progress at a pace that feels comfortable and sustainable for you.
Can I reschedule?
Text Sandy at +1 (917) 736-8649 and we will look for another day and time. Youth requests include one complimentary change; a second missed appointment needs manual review.
