What happens at a beginner BJJ first visit in Tannersville?
Start with a room tour, safety walkthrough, and a conversation about your goals and schedule. The standard 15-minute visit is in normal clothes and does not include a workout; Sandy recommends and schedules your coached first class afterward. A same-visit class is available only through the specialized youth booking workflow. For youth, a parent or guardian joins the visit.
What should I wear?
Adults: normal clothes. No workout is required. Youth and teens:
clean athletic clothes for the coached class. Follow the Gi/No-Gi
instructions Sandy confirms for the first class.
Do I need to be fit?
No. Jiu-Jitsu is how you get in shape. You can take breaks
whenever you need them, and you will progress at a pace that
feels comfortable and sustainable for you.
Can I reschedule?
Text Sandy at +1 (917) 736-8649 and we will look for another
day and time. Youth requests include one complimentary change;
a second missed appointment needs manual review.
