More than just "Coverage"

School lets out, you’re still working, and your child still has a ton of energy. Our After-School Jiu-Jitsu Training gives them a safe, supervised place to land instead of going straight to a couch and a screen.

At Sensei Sandy BJJ, kids:

  • Move their bodies after sitting all day
  • Practice respect, patience, and self-control
  • Learn how to fall safely and protect themselves
  • Finish class feeling tired in the right way, not fried

Consistent Routine

This is steady, week-after-week training. Most families start with the Young Leader Culture Core (12 Weeks) ($550), then commit to After-School for the long haul.

The Afternoon Rhythm

How a typical class flows from arrival to pickup.

Warm-up

Drills and games to loosen hips and backs after a day in a desk.

Technique

Clear, step-by-step fundamentals. Short instructions so they remember.

Supervised Rounds

Partner work with close coaching on safety, control, and kindness.

Cool Down

A "today I learned" share and clear focus for next time.

Why the 4 PM block works best for most families

  • Lines up with local school dismissal
  • Kids burn off energy before dinner and homework
  • Easy Mon/Wed habit all school year
  • Simple for carpools and shared rides

For parents, this means...

  • Reliable coverage:
You know exactly where they are and what they’re doing.
  • Better evenings:
They’ve burned energy, moved their bodies, and had real social time.
  • Stronger habits:
Listening, being on time, taking care of gear, and respect.
  • Local community:
Kids training together from Tannersville, Hunter, and nearby towns.
