Theater Explorers is a Catskill Mountain Foundation course for students in grades 1–12.
The Fall 2026 course is an eight-week Sunday class with instructors Ken Skrzesz and Rachel Ekstrom. Students learn acting, movement, and singing. The course ends with a performance.
CourseStorm lists October 4 through November 22, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuition is $200 plus a $35 registration fee.
CourseStorm currently says registration is unavailable, while the Foundation program page still says Fall 2026 registration is open. Contact the organizer to ask if a place is available or to learn about the next session.
Scholarship information is available for students enrolled in Windham-Ashland-Jewett or Hunter-Tannersville school districts. The Foundation lists a report card or school evaluation and a teacher recommendation as application materials.
The venue details differ: the Foundation page lists MATH Studios at 6045 Main Street, while CourseStorm lists the Orpheum Performing Arts Center at 6050 Main Street. Contact the Foundation to confirm the venue before you go. For scholarship questions, email ekstromr@catskillmtn.org.
