BJJ Adult Fitness Study
- Population
- 16 previously untrained adults: 8 men and 8 women.
- Intervention
- BJJ training twice weekly for one hour over six weeks.
- Reported outcome
- Significant changes in VO₂max, time to exhaustion, lower-body strength, and several anaerobic measures.
- Supports
- Describing regular BJJ practice as physical training.
- Does not support
- BJJ superiority to Pilates, body-composition guarantees, or individual fitness guarantees.
