Family-Focused Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Arrives in Tannersville on August 1

Sensei Sandy BJJ empowers kids, teens, and adults to build confidence—together

TANNERSVILLE, N.Y. | July 25, 2025 – Mountain Top families will soon have a new way to get fit, have fun, and grow closer: Sensei Sandy BJJ opens its doors on Friday, August 1, offering Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes just steps from Main Street.

“Our goal is simple: confidence through connection,” said Sandy Jose Núñez, local resident, black-belt instructor, and founder of the program. “Whether you’re seven or seventy, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu teaches discipline, empathy, and resilience—the life skills that keep small communities strong.”

Located at 6045 Main Street, Tannersville, the academy will run three age-based sessions every Friday:

Class Time
Kids (ages 5-11) 4:00 p.m.
Teens (12-16) 5:00 p.m.
Adults (17+) 6:00 p.m.
